Realm Wellness Spa specializes in unique and alternative health and wellness services that support weight loss, cleansing and detoxification, an overall feeling of health, and peak performance.
Owners Mike and Joan Fiame bring these unique services, such as infrared sauna therapy, to the Quad City from Chicago. Mike was living in the Quad City area when he met Joan. They fell in love and soon realized they both shared the same passion for health and wellness. "Having the services available to us on a daily basis supports our own personal health and wellness and now we get to share it with the people in our community. We speak to people on a daily basis that are willing to travel a great distance to receive our services. This speaks highly of their personal commitment to their health and wellness."
Joan relocated to Rock Island from Chicago shortly after meeting Mike, leaving Corporate America behind to pursue her heart's desire. They wanted to open a business that would allow them to be surrounded by people who are interested in learning new ways to stay healthy and strong, and to share their knowledge of health and wellness.
They both have interesting backgrounds that add much value to a new business. Joan worked in Corporate America for over 20 years and Mike retired from the United States Army after 21 years of service. He is still employed with the Army in a civil service capacity assiting Solidiers, Marines, and other civilians on maintneance matters related to the Abrams MBT. He has an extensive background in all phases of management, logistics, supply support, contracting, sales, and recruiting in the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
Joan is the author of Juicing for Jocks and plans to work with the coaches and young athletes in the community to find ways to support their performance in sports.
